Terminal Traffic Analysis Program (TTAP)

The Position Classification Standard requires counting of aircraft worked in a fashion different then the old FAA Order 7210.3 count (Office of Policy and Planning aka APO Count).  This leaves us with two counting processes required:

1)  The old APO count (7210.3) and

2)  the Position Classification Standard (Reclass count).   Terminal Facilities currently use TTAP for their Position Classification Standard counts and must report this data electronically via the TTAP program.

Position Classification Standard data is used to determine ATC levels while APO data is used for Airport Improvement monies and Agency staffing models.

TTAP is updated quarterly to provide the latest "mix data" (Air Carrier, Air Taxi, General Aviation, Military) as required by the Position Classification Standard:

"Note: Until appropriate automation capabilities are established, the military mix calculations will be based on the most recent yearly APO/OPSNET data available."

We use yearly mixes ending in March, June, September and December of each year that your facility reports to APO via Opsnet or Otter.  You can see your facilities data at the APO Web Site.  Since reporting of APO data tends to run behind a month or two we use the following Mix data for the following Monthly Classification Indexes (CIs).

Mix Year ends

January-March

September

April-June

December

October-December

When you run a Classification Index (CI) (for example for January 2006) you will see on the top of the form produced "Mix Date 9/30/2005 Filter Date 1/31/2006".  That indicates the APO data ended with the year ending 9/30/2005 and the CI data ended with the year ending January 31, 2006.

TTAP Version 2.0.68 is available for downloading at the MSDT web site

Version 2.0.68 of TTAP is available on the MSDT site through the FAA INTRA-net at http://cru-x.faa.gov then click on downloads.  Read the readme.txt file located on the download page prior to installing this new version.

This Version is required to run accurate Classification Indexes for January 2006 (and before) through March 2006.  This version contains the September 2005 APO mix data.  The December mix version of TTAP should be available towards the end of March.  You will need this version to run accurate CIs between April-May 2006.

If you have changes to your profile get them submitted through your Regional 540 Branch to FAA HQ AT0-A Business Workforce Services.
